... and how it all started
I am Isabella, and I have been teaching and practicing yoga for over 30 years.
Decades ago, in my first years of yoga, I just went to yoga class once a week and was happy with that. Then a friend of mine inspired me to start practicing yoga at home in the mornings and I wanted to give it a try but I was lost.
First of all, I always woke up really hungry and I would never do anything before having a nice breakfast. I could not imagine how to practice yoga with this feeling of hunger...
Secondly, I did not know how to organize my practice. Repeat what I had been learning in class? I did not remember the sequences, they were too long and varied all the time... Intuitive sequencing? Following instructions of a video?
Youtube, with thousands of videos from which to choose, did not exist yet...
And all the distractions. Staring at the dust on my shelves. Thinking of endless to-do lists. Never enough time to do everything that needs to be done. Was it worth the struggle?
To make it short, I gave it a try and made a lot of mistakes.
But you don´t have to repeat them. I am here to unveil what keeps me motivated to practice, after all these years. I will share my knowledge and experience with you so that you can establish your personal, well-rounded and inspiring practice for many years and take out the most benefit.
